The philosophy of our staff at The Ballet Studio is to provide our dancers with a positive, fun and stress-free environment where they will learn how to dance in each of the specific styles such as hip-hop, musical theatre, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, ballet and pointe while working toward a healthy, fit body. Our goal is to instruct students of all ages in classes that incorporate technique, skill and physical exercise while focusing on the dancer's character development. We strive to assist our students in growing not only as dancers, but as individuals possessing the qualities needed to help them succeed in all areas of life.

ABOUT THE CLASS . . .

Each dance class consists of a center floor or barre warm up, skills, drills, technique across the floor and choreographed dance combinations. A curriculum devised for the school enables the staff to teach students the appropriate skills for their dance level. Our staff continually attends classes and workshops to provide students with the latest dance styles and trends.

MESSAGE TO PARENTS . . .

We want to thank you for your commitment to The Ballet Studio. The following are important rules to keep things running smoothly . . .

If you need to contact your dancer during class, please call the studio phone number (609)298-5396. Before students enter the studio, we ask them to leave their cell phones in the waiting room. This helps the dancer to remain focused during the entire dance class.

We ask that parents, siblings, relatives and friends remain in the waiting room during the class.

If at any time you have a question pertaining to the classs, please call the studio at 609-298-5396 or e-mail us at www.tbsdance.com. We will always get back to you promptly. Our instructors need the time while they are teaching and in between classes to focus on the dancers.

Only water bottles are permitted in the waiting room and studio. Food is not allowed in the waiting room.

Please do not park along the grass in front of the studio. This area is for drop-off only. When entering and exiting the parking area, please do so with extreme caution.

If the weather is inclement, please call the studio to see if classes are cancelled. There will be a message indicating cancellations. You may also check the website for this information. All cancellation notifications will be posted on the home page of the website or on our voice mail by 2:00 pm on a weekday and Sunday and by 7:00 am on Saturday. All cancelled classes due to inclement weather may be made up. Please visit our schedule page for information on make up classes.
